Second entry for Challenge #66 at Addicted to Stamping and More
hi
Another entry into Challenge #66 at Addicted to Stamping and More.
Click on image to see detail.
Just a bit of fun on a tag.....love making tags, soooo cool. I made the background with some distress ink pulling along vertically with colors of wild honey and similar colors which I do not recall at this moment.
I punched out the most cute dragon fly and flower combo on some patterned paper. I then dabbed in black ink the same shapes from the punches onto the tag to create a shadow effect behind the dragon fly and flower. I then glued on the punched out shapes and made them look 3D by bending the wings and petals. I also included a couple of stick on purls for the centers of the flowers.
I wrote on white paper Keep Calm and Be Happy. Cut them out and sponge effect them with distress ink. Then i made border around the words and sponged around the tag to frame it all.
I do not recall all the colors of ink i used as i made this tag a while ago. I have it on my desk to remind me to be happy at all times, no matter what life throws at me.
This is my second entry to challenge #66 Anything Goes.
So thank you for stopping by and enjoying my creations, love for you to spread the word about my new adventure in stamping and be able to share my blog "stamping with vengeance" .......please join with Google Friend Connect on top right of this blog.
Enjoy your day :)

Addicted to Stamps and More challenge #66
Hi
At Addicted to Stamps and More there is challenge #66 Anything Goes
I would love to enter my all the spots I can put on a page Hello card I made.
Here is the card....click to view details and larger image.
I had fun with this design..my mind just creates as I go along and put this Hello card together....just love that aspect of myself...very cool..
I took a card base...cut out the size of my new design paper background with circles and pasted down on the card base. I then took similar textured light green to match the circles background and punched out circles of different sizes and a die cut of a scalloped circle for the cuttlebug.
I then took my circles stencils and sponged with crushed olive and rusty hinge all over. I then sponged all over with rusty hinge and edges with rusty hinge and crushed olive. I then added stick on gold purls to match.
Next stamped a hello greeting and a cute owl...colored in with textures and sponge around edges with rusty hinge. I fussy cut them out and placed the owl on pop dot to give dimension and shadow to the cutey to make you smile.
I then thought why not use a different effect and place the whole panel on pop dots and place on front of card base.
On the inside I stenciled in the circles, to bring the front of the card in. I placed stamped and fussy cut and colored in flower with round frame....to close in a bit of flower coolness.
Inks used:
Distress Inks Tim Holtz - crushed olive, rusty hinge.
Stamps used:
Fiskars - what a hoot, floral flair, friendly flowers
Cool come and join in the fun at Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge #66
Have a Fantastic Day and Ciao for Now

STAMPlorations Bi-Weekly Challenge
G'day
Shery at STAMPlorations Challenge blog has a new Bi-Weekly Challenge running from October 4th to October 23rd.
With any theme as a basis for the challenge I created a vintage type two toned Memory Travel Card
Here is my card I created for this challenge. Click picture to view larger and more details, especially the embossing on the brown textured paper background card base.
Front and Inside
I enjoyed creating this card...not sure why the brown, but I was thinking of two toned at the time. Embossing the front with the leaves folder for the cuttlebug, to give texture and go with the theme of flowers and leaves in the vintage type look. I then sponge with rustic hinge ink on top of the leaves to make them pop a bit...click image for the details.
I also cut a length of textured paper and stamped with smaller flowers and sponge edges with vintage sepia for the top and bottom border.
I then used the die cuts of square and scalloped circle to give definition and frame to the sentiment and flowers which I then edge sponged with vintage sepia. The sentiment reminded me of the memories I hold whilst traveling on the road. The flowers and leaves reminded me of the trees and pretty flowers planted along the roads and peoples homes I saw along the way.
I embellished the flowers with pearl stick on's. I then stuck textured paper on the inside of the card to allow for writing.
Inks Used :
Versafine - Vintage Sepia
Distress Inks (Tim Holtz) - Rustic Hinge
StazOn - Jet Black
Stamps Used :
Fiskars - Floral Flair
Cloud9 Design (clear stamps) - Simple Thoughts - Travel
There you have my wonderful travel in my mind themed card.
