A Fun Technique with Stencils

G'Day

A bit more stencilling. Found a cool technique with distress inks, water and stencil.

Here is my card. The front.

The inside.

I love how the background turned out. I sponged water coloured paper with distress ink (crushed olive), all over, placed the stencil by KaiserCraft on top and sprayed water all over, waited a couple of minutes, then wiped with paper towel and dried with heat gun.

Here is the result of the background. How cool, I love it.

I stamped the butterflies (STAMPlorations - artiful butterflies) with distress inks (broken china, barn door, dusty concord and wild honey) onto the background and again on watercolour paper with same colours and watercoloured them in and fussy cut them out, stuck them on and placed silver glitter glue and mod podge for shine and a jewel for an extra touch.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges :-

Virginia's View - challenge #2 Stencils

STAMPlorations - sketch #9

STAMPlorations - April challenge stamps and technique (love water colouring)

Moxie Fab World - styling with stencils challenge

Addicted to Stamps and More - challenge #90 Photo Inspiration (colours from the photo, inspired me)

Seize the Birthday - Anything Goes

Here is another background I created the same way as above with different colours and stencil.

Click on picture for more detail on water result, how cool.

Cannot figure out if I need more or less water spray around the yellow section of the stencil, any ideas would be welcome, thank you.
Thinking cap on, what to make with this background, hmmmm.
